Can CONFIG_INTEL_TXT be safely deleted, without the OS becoming unstable? Note I'm already aware of the 'disable' route, and have no interest in that. I require it to be totally erased from the kernel.
If this is possible, please advise how to do it!
Can you tell us the reason why you want to delete it?
Couldn't find it in Ubuntu so it must be dispensable.
Research indicates Intel TXT, vPro, etc., is just a renamed version of Microsoft Palladium....did not want it way back when, and my opinion has not changed. I need to be able to delete any such crud I find. Preliminary research indicates this stuff is so far only in the kernel, and not scattered throughout Ubuntu or any other given OS. Not yet sure if IntelTXT is all that is in the kernel.Quote:
