Winbind (Samba) client with Renaming an Active Directory Domain

Is there any special consideration for Winbind domain member computers when renaming an Active Directory domain?

DNS suffix/name is changing, NetBIOS name is remaining the same, e.g., domain.org will becoming domain.com

(Google hasn't found me anything yet.)

Procedure for ordinary Windows clients is to ensure their "primary domain suffix" is set to new domain name and to reboot twice.

Presumably worst case the Winbind domain clients can be unjoined from domain and re-added but it would be nice to know if anyone has any experience with this.

Thanks in advance if you have done this or can point me to an online resource discussing the procedure.
