Thumbdrive Linux Lite Audio trouble in Acer V1.08

Hello,

I'm a very new to Linux yet very old. FUn Fun FUn so far. I created a thumbdrive of the latest Linux Lite distro recently (my first Linux experience). It boots well on my Lenovo and HP laptops and Acer netbook. BUT, I get no audio whatsoever in Linux Lite OS when booted onto my Acer V1.08 netbook. Do I need to load and instal drivers?
I love this distro. It is very very fast and very user friendly for older folks but I would like to get sound on my netbook as well. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
