When I run iwspy on my Suse 9.2 laptop (intel 2200BG wireless) I get this message:
# iwspy
lo Interface doesn't support wireless statistic collection
eth0 Interface doesn't support wireless statistic collection
eth1 Interface doesn't support wireless statistic collection
sit0 Interface doesn't support wireless statistic collection
My wireless interface is eth1, can someone tell me how to fix this?
Nope, I have the ipw2100 and get the same thing even though everything else works good
what are you trying to do? Scan for wireless networks?
if so, try this
iwlist eth1 scan
also if the ipw2200 is like the ipw2100 you need to un-accociate the card with an access point for any other networks to show first
iwconfig eth1 essid none
Sorry for resurrecting an old thread.
It is no longer supported in the kernel.
They should remove the iwspy command from the wireless-tools package if so...
