Prolly Pong, by the sounds of this system. The only thing I think I'd be playing on that kind of system would be emulated snes/megadrive games and some MUD games.

Taking window managers into consideration, with older systems there is a noticeable difference concerning how smooth they run. I certainly notice the difference when I switch between KDE and Flux.

I found it much easier to setup Nvidia gfx in the past, still actually working on getting ATI drivers for laptop sorted atm.

Use the command netstat -n then send a file, while it is sending do netstat -n again and the additional IP address will be the clients.
