Thanks to everybody who posted. You helped a lot. I managed to create a shortcut to Netscape but how do I force it to use the Netscape icon? I mean I can select one of the default KDE icons...

Okay....just installed Mandrake Linux 9.1.

The boot menu comes up with the following:

Linux-enterpris
Linux
Linux-nonfb
Failsafe
Windows
Floppy

I go to the menu in Windows X and select Log off and then shutdown.

Linux newbie here! When I shutdown Linux, it gets stuck on "shutting down interface eth0" and just sits there.

I have to manually reboot myself.

Any ideas?
