    I've definitely been throught it. Trashing the xmms files fixed it for me though it didn't explain the prob. From your home directory just:
    rm -R .xmms

    Also just working w/ cdrom's in general...

    I reccomend against sendmail... or least if you decide to use it get the newest version/latest patches as new vulnerablity was discovered today (09/17/2003). Debian's default Exim is very good.

    hdparm -d1 /dev/hda--will enable dma
