Just tried the iPod linux on my 1st generation iPod, very interesting stuff, needs some work.
It will not work on mini iPod or shuffle yet, but they're working on it.

Yeah, just tried it on a RH9 box and got the same.
I had this yonks ago under Yellow Dog linux, but it was to fix the apt-get cache, not to remove anything.
