I did what you told me (using grub) but i had to get around it a little, pressing [e] wont edit the the line as you said, it showed nothing, so what i did is just add single in the blank space below...

I tried winxp and partition magic, the problem seems to be that it doesnt find the partition info in the disk. Maybe the sectors are badly allocated, anyone knows how to fix that?

I was trying mount without parameters before when trying this i get:
mount: /dev/hdb1 is not a valid block device

I used to have mdk on this hd, but thats not how i got this files in there, I used to have this hd mounted on a drive letter d: on winxp. And used for every important files.

I have no OS on /dev/hdb and both OS in /dev/hda (which are SuSE on hda3 and winxp on hda1).
