And I'm pretty sure a 5400RPM SCSI HD will live about 10 times longer than the fastest 7200RPM IDE drive. It's a proven fact... SCSI is more reliable and often (but not always) faster than IDE.

I get this from running "hdparm -Tt /dev/sda". My other measurements were from using the HD Benchmark tool from mindbeat.com (in Winblows eXtra Poop
