Try: mount -r -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
Make sure that you have a directory named cdrom under /mnt (mkdir /mnt/cdrom). This is the only command that I have ever used to mount my cdroms.

When you did the install, did you choose server? If so, that does not install the gui. Here are some commands.

Yes, then if you go to /mnt/cdrom and do an ls (or double click the folder in the gui), you should see the contents of the cd.

Xconfigurator. There will be an option at the end to boot straight into the gui.

If your cdrom is ide: mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
This should work, it does in RedHat. As for a scsi, I have no idea.

Is your windows drive your primary master? If so, it should have worked. I don't know if it matters, but make sure you're root. I haven't been at this long myself.
