make sure your ogg files have the .ogg ext... this really messed with me the other day. you have to change the output ext after you select a codec....

after you disabled pnp, did you boot into run level 3 (shell no x) and run sndconfig?

if you have a good motherboard/bios you may not even have to instal lilo.... my old mother board would allow me the go into bios and change which device it would boot from, onboard ide or scsi thus...

you might want to change your runlevel to 3 and try running sndconfig in shell... this helped me somewhat.... however I still have no cd-audio.... someone suggested i get 4 wire cables instead of 3...

I think there readme is a little dated... download the src.rpm's you need. at the login screen choose failsafe cause you can't do the install in X.... where the readme says rpmbuid use rpm...

mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 /mnt/floopy windlows formatted

change vfat 2 ext2 for linux
and
mke2fs /dev/fd0 will format

and rpm --build i think unstead of rpmbuild
