Is your company based in Mexico? Because here in America, you are innocent until proven guilty. They are saying you are guilty of a crime but they won't tell you what you did wrong. OK, I know they are saying that you are using Linux, but there is nothing wrong with that until a court decides so. Look up some of the great debates and open letters back to SCO and you can learn and hopefully show your employers how things really are.

We are based in America. Could you refer me to any of these debates or letters?
Thanks,

email GOOGLE
(NOTE: I respectfully defer to the judgement of the moderator, regarding whether this post deserves its own thread, or should be placed in the main SCO rant thread. Naturally, being all fired up about this and hoping to inspire others to act, I put it where I thought it would be most seen- but as I'm sure you are well aware, this is your forum, not mine!)
More outrages, still no proof!
The hucksters and master pirates at SCO have announced that they have approached GOOGLE about "selling" them a counterfeit "Linux License". It's possible that they may take a page from the MICROSOFT playbook and offer GOOGLE a
significant "discount". Faced with the threat of legal harassment, Google might be tempted to spare themselves the inconvenience by tossing SCO a few dollars, thus lending credibility to the SCO HOAX.
I am not the only one who has expressed the conviction that if GOOGLE knuckles under to this extortion before SCO publicly offers any solid evidence that their claim to Linux is valid (what they have produced so far has been pretty laughable) , I will switch search engines. If you feel the same way I do, you should let GOOGLE know. The business division of GOOGLE can be reached at:
bizdev@google.com
Let GOOGLE know that the Linux community will stand by them if they resist the SCO HOAX!

Hmmm, who would I want behind me? The "Linux Community" or investors/potential investors?
For the terminally litigious SCO, Google likely appears an easy mark. The company is preparing for an eagerly anticipated IPO this year and surely would rather settle with SCO than risk upsetting its offering. Or would it?
Note: This is not to say anything bad about the Linux Community but Google is a business. It has to do what is in the best interest of it's investors. If they seem to be scared off by SCO threats then Google must concede (or mount a really impressive Pr campaign of it's own).

Why no licences? 2 reasons...
1)
Note from SCO's recent filings (K-8) that they claim to have 11,000 distributors.
But 6,000 customers. HUH??
Dumb cretins can't sell!!
2) Any big, reasonably well-known company who buys a licence from SCO, and after this SCO lose the case, is going to look pretty stupid.
"No-one got fired for buying IBM" in reverse..
"I got fired for believing SCO's crap!!!".
Nice T-shirt, don'cha think?

Sco - Rofl
Hey, check this one out:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/35042.html
So, you nasty rag-head terrorists, you stop threatening the poor little defenceless U.S.A!!!! The SCO dudes must be moving up the narcotic food chain - I'm just interested as to what they've moved on to after crack.....
It'll be a shame when this is all over and SCO has been squished - you've got to admit it's a right larf!
Robin.

Maybe you should take some notes on what this company did. Read the letter that they sent and the news story here.

Funny SCO site!
I saw a link to this at Slashdot earlier today. Check out http://www.linuxstolescocode.com
Look at the page very carefully, don't be too quick to hit your browsers back button.
I laughed my arse off when I saw it, looks like it is going to be a useful site to.
It also make you think about how much extra time some people have on their hands to do something like this.
