Problems with Netscape Plugins
Hello !
I am using Red Hat Linux 6.2(2.2.16-17) and have problems with Netscape 4.75 plugins.
Under help about plugins Netscape brings up an empty page, so not even the default plugin loaded. I tried saving my .netscape directory and reinstalling netscape, did not work, tried copiing over another users plugin-list file but it gets overwritten every time netscape starts, yet other users on the system see all plugins. Any idea what is going on ? Why my plugin files overwritten ?

They are usually installed in /usr/lib/netscape/plugins . In my home directory I just have a sym link to it. To do that you can cd ~/netscape, rm -rf plugins, ln -s /usr/lib/netscape/plugins plugins .

I have just tried it, even copied them over.
I still get the message
"No plugins installed"
More ideas ?
Who knows how the plugin-list is generated ?

OK, I solved it.
My NPX_PLUGIN_PATH was incorrectly set.
