The curious thing is though that when I close it down it never powers down completely but very nearly does each time and hangs just at the end.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Should I be posting these questions in a different forum now?

I just started downloading disk 1. its going extremely slow. I have a 2mb cable connection. I tried all of the sources for disk 1 but I had a problen with some that said does not exist or something. Anyway the current speed is around 13-20 kb/s and thats not good at all. It should be going a lot faster! is it because there are lots of people downloading this?

Goran[Croatia] its just probably alot of people using the server that you are at the moment

wildgoose1uk, short answer to both questions is yes If you do a quick search you should be able to find a answer about the power off problem

Why not go play the game and d/l the file overnight while you are sleeping? I got a speed of about 60 so server probably clogged with users. The other three disks were quicker than the first one.

Wish me luck as its my first time burning ANYTHING with linux... If I cant figure it out I'm definately in trouble

    mandrake 10 official

nice distro, but I do not like the new interface layout, i like the old school GUI from the previous versions.

    Cool

I like it. It is fairly intuitive and for a newbie coming from windozw I appreciate that. It is difficult enough trying to think back to my days with win 3.1 and dos to remind myself of command lines etc.

Anything that makes it easier I like
