I've watched us move from about 147th place down to 222nd place in the folding standings. But, that's still not too bad considering all of the other teams below us. Of course, in this 'competition', the more people that pass you, the better for the project, eh?

UPDATE:
5 million points just around the corner for me. Woohoo. I see 5 real strong points producers. We need more, I'm recruiting.
If anyone out there has a PS3, get it folding, they rack up points fast.
I just ordered 4 more computers. They're those little Shuttle X27Ds with the 64 bit dual core Atom 330. They were $189, and adding memory, hard drive, and optical drive, came to around $333 a piece. One of them will replace my Smoothwall machine and the other 3 will be used in my wired test Network for my CCNA studies. But, they will also be doing double duty wireless-ly and folding on my regular home network.
My main drawback has been the stupid 56K dial-up connection. Fortunately, for the last few days it seems to have improved over the previous few weeks.
I've been re-arranging like mad. I'll post up some more photos one of these days. I just added another Netgear 8 port gig switch, replacing a Linksys 100Mbit switch, and a D-Link NAS DNS-321, which I put 2 terabyte drives into. Of course, now I have to find something to put on them!! I also recently added a Gateway SX2800 and built a little quad core Q9650 machine in a Silverstone SG01. That one keeps dying. I might have to go with a bigger case or add some sort of external fannage...
Hey, I'm on a little island in the pacific with no bills and not much else to do!!
Is anybody else having trouble getting work packets and sending results for the last couple of days?

Hey... speakin' of folding and cancer research and real life ...
I recently had a physical exam and discovered that I have a high PSA reading. That's prostate specific antigen. The PSA score is not an absolute predictor, but it's a controversial test that, I guess, shows high in many prostate cancer cases.
From what I've read, a typical, normal PSA is somewhere around 2.0. My last reading was 7.1! I know 2 guys whose readings were around 6.0 and they both had prostate cancer. But, they have histories of it in their families. They have both been treated and are 'relatively' ok now.
I'll be seeing a urologist soon for further testing.
Need to buy more computers.. do more folding.... take more vitamin C!!
Small freaking world. I'm working on a protein that (we think) regulates PSA gene expression (KLK3 and other members of the kallikrein family.) You're talking about dangerous stuff, make sure you stay on top of it. As you know, if you develop prostate cells that escape androgen dependence, the prognosis is very bad

Well, this just sucks now. We've been having a LOT of trouble with our stupid dial-up connection to the internet. I have all of this folding horsepower and all of my machines are saying "cannot transmit unit ... "
My current production is about 336 points in the last 2 or 3 days!
Well, I'm back up a little these last few days. This 56K dial-up system is just so unreliable. (Oh, did I mention that before?)
Anyway, since it is so unreliable and takes a lot of effort to keep chugging away, I'm going to be mostly off the grid for the next 3 weeks while I take a trip; a little vacation, a little TDY, a little medical.
I'll be shutting down my whole home system.
I'll be back mid-November.
Keep on folding.
Photos: A couple of shots of part of the home system and a book that I hope I don't have to to get too involved with.
