wireless & dhcp problem

Hi Friends,

I've a problem with my wireless, and its getting me crazy !'@£
here's my system info
: HP nc6120
2.6.15-1.1833_FC4
ipw2200: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Driver, 1.1.0

if I setup wireless IF with static ip, everything is ok. I can connect immediately (w or w/o WEP / WPA).
but if I try to connect with DHCP, dhclient cant get any ip address from the AP, I also tried dhcpcd with same result.
the only error message in /var/log/messages is :
ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth1: link is not ready

any idea how can I solve this problem ?

have you tried setting your ssid with iwconfig before you run the dhcp client

yes I did set ssid before I run the dhcp client, manually or with wlassistant, dhcp client seems not working ??

Is the WAP configured to assign DHCP?
Check before saying yes, just humor us
