    A welcome message

    Welcome !

Justlinux prides itself for having relatively little redundant and irrelevant information. This is achieved by members asking direct, short and precise questions.

If the Justlinux tradition is maintained then the newbies are encouraged to follow this simple rule.

Newbies are not expected to know how to ask the questions correctly and this is understandable.

However giving it some thought before raising a question with pertinent information included can make your thread

    • informative

    • easy to read

    • useful to others

saikee, in your excellent articles re: installing/multibooting 145 systems with grub, you say it took you only about 10-15 minutes to install each one, regardless of which. i have experimented with a few linux distros and always found it took me more than an hour to install each. how do you do it?

This probably isn't the best thread to ask that in.

saikee: Maybe split these two posts off and lock the thread so that it doesn't get used for questions? I'll leave it up to you since it's your thread.

    Did you mean this?

"Justlinux prides itself for having relatively small redundant and irrelevant information."

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or meant "RELEVANT" information?

I think the small is supposed to apply to both redundant and irrelevant, but "little" was probably the word he was looking for there. I think that makes it clearer.

Sometimes the most difficult questions are the first ones we ask on any forum. We, the members, have shared those apprehensions at one time also. We don't always know the answer and sometimes we don't always have the time to answer promptly or at all, due to the fact we have lives also, that can keep us quite busy, but we will attempt to help you. Patience with Linux and this forum are a virtue. The rewards are great. Welcome everyone.
