Installation Question
I'm trying to learn how to install applications with apt-get. I read about Beagle and decided to install it.
I did the install and got no errors.
But now I find no icon anywhere to launch it from. I found a Beable folder in /etc but only stared stupidly.
Synaptic package manager shows that it's installed too. How do I launch it?

Open an xterminal (Which you most likely used to type in apt-get) and try to launch the application by name, in this case beable.
If that works, you could make a "shortcut" type thing on your desktop. Are you using Ubuntu by chance?

That doesn't do anything either.

no Beable
I tried the same thing on a Dell laptop that has Ubuntu. It installs Beagle with no errors but there is no start up icon and typing Beagle in the terminal give this:
No command 'beagle' found, did you mean:
Command 'eagle' from package 'eagle' (multiverse)
Command 'beagled' from package 'beagle' (universe)
beagle: command not found

Well I'm not really sure what beagle does, but it looks like the main directory is in /usr/share/ if you open a web browser and in the location bar copy and past this path
"file:////usr/share/beagle/webinterface/help.html"
without the quotes it will open a help page.
Hope this helps
