    Substitute Program

I just loaded the latest Ubuntu on my "spare" PC, and I'm wanting to stop using Windoze altogether.

One of the most used programs in my computer is Micro$oft Publisher. I use it to publish our church material, bulletins, invitations, announcements, etc.

What Linux program will substitute for Micro$oft Publisher, and do just as good a job?

    Thanks

I'd vote Scribus too. The only potential problem is that (as far as I know) it doesn't open .pub files, so if you have an old file you use as a template you'll need to either convert it (which is apparently possible) or recreate it.

Of course, recreating a file can be a good way to get used to a new software package.
