    Civ II

I got Sid Meier's Civilization II for Windows, and as this is my favourite game I'd like to know if there's some way to run it without booting windows. How good is WINE? Can you Win play games (and civ 2 in particular) with it? I could also use VMware but I don't really feel like buying it. Do you have any expirience with plex86? To my knowledge, it's something like vmware, with the only difference that it is free.
    thx

No, that's Civilization: Call to power. While it sounds similar, it really isn't the same. Civ II is just five star first class, even if it hasn't that awesome graphics most more recent games have...
IMHO, Civ II (and I, of course) are the greatest games of all time

    Paul,

Development of this product has not yet began. The developers are at this
time only finalising concepts and design functions. There are no plans for
any Linux versions and no current plans to allow outside companies to
publish Linux editions of any of our catalogue titles - sorry.

It also had a dumb jpeg attachment - their logo??? What a backwards company - its a shame Microprose got bought by them.
