    internet configuration wizard not working

    I've just installed linux 7.3
    everything works fine.
When i use GNOME it gives me warning that it may not work properly as "no host found in etc/hosts"
When I ignored the warning most of the programs worked, but many of the configuratio tools (including internet wiz.) are not working.
    any idea??

in your install if you tried to setup a network connection and it failed to see your localhost as specified then you will need to edit that file to include your host name and ip number

    Try adding/modifying /etc/hosts (as root)

    127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost <hostname>

echo $HOSTNAME will tell you the hostname.
