    Skandinavian fonts+rh9=wierd

Anybody now why my rh9 wont work well with the letters åäö......
for example....if somebody sends me an pdf file name åäö.pdf i'll get the errrormessage: Could not open /home/hubbe/Desktop/åöä.pdf: File does not exist.....
if i'll use åäö...in quanta or my webserver the letters are missing or get dissortet as in åäö.pdf......
Same thing happens if i'll try to download a file from an other computer ....it doesn't exist.....

I'll think there is a bug in the xfs server, because can't really find any other sollutions to the problem, but if someone experienced same difficulties and got them solved.....then give me some help.....
with win 3.1 we stood on the edge of the cliff with win95 we took a huge leap forward
with Linux we are starting from the bottom of the hill, still gathering the pieces.

This may be a UTF-8 problem. I've seen a lot of fellow scandinavians having the similar problems.

Check your /etc/sysconfig/i18n file for references to something like en_US.UTF-8 and change that to en_US.ISO8859-1 (or sf_SF.ISO8859-1 (is SF the nominator for Finnish by the way?) if you use that character setup.)

You may also try adding the following line to your ~/.bash_profile or ~/.bashrc:
    export LANG=sf_SF.ISO8859-1 (or en_US.ISO8859-1)

    Cheers

Yeah, I know, just Nordic (Finland, Sweeden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland).
Scandinavia is limited to Norway, Denmark and Sweeden
