ECS ks75a work ok in linux?

Is this board's LAN and sound fully compatible in linux? I need to make a large batch of cheap rigs, running gentoo.

For me, the integrated LAN had no problems whatsoever. The sound was a different story. It works, but sounds very staticy/greiny. I'm sure with some tweaking or alternate drivers it might work better. Have not tried it tho since I don't have much need for sound.

    Hope this helps...

edit: I'm using RedHat 8.0, btw...

    mobo questions

Thanks for the fast reply. Are you using ARTS for the sound or ALSA? I've had better luck with alsasound.

I cannot remember, (dont have linux on this machine anymore) but I'm leaning towards ARTS. I didn't try ALSA...

It's one of the grestest boards I've ever run. Linux didn't quit on me for 6 months+. The LAN was perfect. As for sound, I left the default alone.
May the Source be with GNU
