    Any shell Games for Linux

This may be an innocent (ignorant) question, but are there any shell games for Linux like the old MS-DOS games?

I remember one called Qwest. That was great. There were a couple pretty good pong-type games.

Not that I know of since I do not play games in Linux, but you should find some in these G4L search results for 'shell games'.

    There's always good ol' NetHack
I use to play that all the time on my old laptop, and it's quite fun to die 20 times in 30 minutes

I wrote an (admittedly pretty slow) text-mode minesweeper using ncurses once. I see, though, that freshmeat.net has a bunch of the same type of program. Actually, if you go to freshmeat and browse for "console/text based" programs, then filter for "games/entertainment", you come up with this page:

    http://freshmeat.net/browse/226/?top...rby=&filter=80

Which has a TON of text-mode games.

There are a lot of shell games available for linux!

    moon buggy
    boggle
    backgammon
    fish
    mille
    wump
    fortune

    Just to name a few.

Then you have your rpg games like moria, angband, zangband, etc... Then the tetris type that are around. I've even seen a few that are in python, and then you have some that have the newt and slang interfaces as well.

I've created a simple text-based clicker-like game in shell script!
I'm currently pretty active working on it but I need some feedback.
If you're interested, pls give it a shot!
