Buying Music Online with Linux: Solved
I decided to see if the new DRM free offerings from Apple were available to a poor second class Linux citizen (LOL) and the answer is no, you still have to have iTunes installed. Here's an excerpt from the blog entry I just wrote.

I started researching iTunes to see about the DRM free content, however, Linux is still excluded. You can't even browse without downloading and installing iTunes and of course, that is only OS-X or Windows. When I Googled for "Linux DRM free downloads" I saw a news entry on Walmart. I checked it out and all I can say is, this is the service I have been looking for.
Create your own Mixed CD at Walmart
I just finished picking 20 songs (the max per CD) and it came out to $1.16 per song. I will get an actual CD, cover and shipping included. Yes, I check out eTunes but I have a hard time finding enough to buy. At WallyWorld, you get access to their complete library.
Anyway, just bought 20 songs of my choosing with PCLinuxOS and FireFox with xine wmv plugin with no sweat. Yes, it is not instant gratification with buying online, but getting exactly what you want, on our own terms, I think that would apply to most everyone here. :D
I put this in random, and I hope this isn't an inappropriate post.

P.S. Yes, I could have LimeWired every single song I just purchased, but that isn't me, I will pay for the music I enjoy, but ONLY on my own terms.
