Uh huh...

We are down to Overall Rank of 265. Getting closer and closer to page 4. Been on page 3 for a long time.
I have 2 more computers online now, but my connection is very iffy...
Hopefully I can keep it going...

Edit: Ok, I have to admit, my current folding is only on Windows machines. I have 2 more computers to add and I hope to make those linux.. probably Ubuntu and Mint... been a long time since I downloaded and installed those though... I hope they are as seamless and easy as Windows.... but I have my doubts. D'oh...
Hello Hello Hello
Is anybody anybody anybody in here in here in here . . .
Interesting graph of my monthly results...
You can see where I got laid off and was outta work for a while.

Hey.. we're over a Million Points for January 2014. You few people that are in the mix.. keep on keepin' on.
...not that anyone cares or responds to this anymore.
Cool... We have 9 people folding at this moment. Back up to 262.
je_fro... you still out there?
Hey bs_texas, how's it going?
Well, bs_texas, it's going pretty good?
What's new?
Well, just hit another milestone and passed 50,000,000 points.
Woo hoo... good going.
Ok, see ya later.
Bye.
:D
If anybody cares... I'm on vacation and shut down all my folding machines. I'll be back at it by the 23rd or 24th.

Have fun on vacation. Tell me, have you gotten faster Internet out there yet? You may be interested in hearing I just moved from Michigan to Texas...DFW specifically. I work IT here.
Hey! There is somebody else alive on here! ;-)
Yeah, we finally got 3 mbps DSL (I thnk they were able to bump it up to 4) and it only costs $50/mo plus the $25/mo for the phone line. But, hey, I'm up to 77,000,000 million points at FAH. I was heading up to about 4,000,000 per month. I'll be back at it when I get back later this month. Hope it's all worth it at some point.
I'm on vacation in Texas. I'll be up in the Plano area later this week meeting some friends for some cooking out and cigar smoking and ale drinking.
I grew up in the DFW area. It's not a bad place. Expensive, but not as bad as some places. Oh, but it has grown and changed a LOT since I moved out to the island back in 2005.
I live in Irving and cucurrently pay Time Warner $35 a month for a 15/1 connection. It isn't FI OS but it gets the job done. I can't imagine a 3 down connection in 2014 let alone dial-up. Hawaii is up to speed on the times, can't they get you guys up too?
Oh, well, I don't live in Hawaii. I live on a tiny island about half way between Hawaii and Australia. We don't have cell phone service either. Actually, I'm glad about that though... :)
Well, I'm back from vacation, but we had a big power outage in my building. The A/C hasn't worked right since then. So, I can't continuously fold until the A/C issue is fixed. The temperature has been getting up to 80 in my room when my folding machines are working... and the humidity is in the upper 60's. I could probably live with that, but the 80 degree temperature is bad for my cigars!
I just passed another milestone. I am over 300k points and I am now in our top 20 folders. All I have to do is triple my current points to be in the top 10 (which would put me at 1/80th of your points) Most of these guys are inactive. I wish my points even put a dent in our team's total score, but its all you, man. I only have two machines running both with CPU/GPU.
Logged into JustLinux (its been a while) and I think its interesting that this thread is still active after all this time. Its been going for almost 10 years now.
I'm trying to keep it alive. :-) I see we have more people folding today... about 8 last I checked at folding.extremeoverclocking.com. Also, we recently hit a milestone for the team... over 150,000,000 points and closing in 150,000 work units!!
Just installed FAH on my headless ubuntu server that I just got running. First linux system in a very long time. Lets see if it can turn some numbers out. Is the team number still 36480?
Lol it is, and sadly I am still ranked in the top 50 after all these years
Welcome back. Not much activity here, but recently there have been about 8 of us actively folding. 36480 is it. I think we were ranked around 147 a long time ago, but now we're about 257.
Don't forget to get a Passkey if you don't already have one. I guess you know all about that, and what not... all the info is there at folding.stanford.edu .
Had to shut down most of my folding briefly here. Temp got up to 80 F in my room... and that's not good for my cigars! Hope to be fully functional again soon. I live in a military style BQ and can't control the overall AC.
Slowly creeping back up . . .

This thread is 10 years old!
Dang it. Another power outage in the building. The power came back up about 30 minutes later... but not the A/C. It's been over 24 hours. Too hot to fold until they get it fixed. Hopefully that'll be soon.
OK, just in case anybody is paying attention to this thread still... Just got word that the A/C should be fixed today. So, I should be folding again tonight.
Dang it. The A/C is still not back up. In to 4 days of no folding. Serenity now! ;-)
Man, I discovered bitcoin a few years ago and turned all my folding horsepower toward that. Later litecoin and other lesser known and dubious cryptocurrency. Time to see what passes for foldingathome in portage these days :)
I hope it is better than the last time I tried to use it from portage. I ended up ditching it and installing it with finstall. I think that name is right. Of course then I ran into another problem. It sat there for days with nothing available to work on. I stopped the service and haven't tried it in a few years now.
Back in business :)

Welcome back.. :-) I just hit 100,000,000 points the other day. Then we had a power outage that killed off the building A/C where I live. It's finally back to working after about 12 days!! So, I'm back in the fold.. so to speak. ;-)
Since SNES games are so large, is there any chance that you will release an SD version, so that we can use our own 2GB SD cards full of SNES games? That is 16Gigabits of storage
^^ Uh.. you may be n the wrong forum, eh?

Heh...
Let me check out those gentoo initscripts for FAH. Last time I had a look something wasn't working right. Hopefully I won't get sidetracked this time. (Kids are in bed - if I were smart I'd seize the opportunity and go to sleep :) )
The stats server sometimes goes down. But the work is still being recorded and the stats will come back with big numbers when it's fixed. :-)
Where'd everybody go on the folding??
We're closing in on 200,000,000 points.
Ok, I guess it was just an interval where nobody had points, but it looked like nobody else was folding. I see we have the other 3 still going.
:-)
We just passed 200,000,000 points.
Nice milestone.
As usual, hope it is helping with the research and new innovations.
I'm on vacation... be back folding by November.

I'm getting myself a christmas computer, xeon 1270 v5 with an obscene amount of ram :) and one of those samsung 950 M.2 ssd's. I'll point that sucker to Stanford once she's up and running for the burn in. Installing gentoo is a bit of a burn-in too :)
Later!

^^ Hey... cool. I've been progressing pretty good, but this building I live in has been having A/C problems and power problems a lot. But, I endeavor to persevere. :-D
