I have fedora 4 currently on a 10 gig partition of my laptop hard drive. I would like to upgrade to Fedora 5.

However when i ran the install DVD , my upgrade install was aborted due to 'not...

well figured out how to revert--just replaced nvidia with nv in the xF86Config file.
wonder why it didnt work...my card is a GeForce 440 mx 64. Which is i guess a few years old now, have the drivers...

is there a way i can revert to the default video card drivers that were installed with SUSE?

I used yast online update to install the nvidia drivers.
When i tried to log in again the whole screen was just black--the display just wouldnt work. I tried leaving it onfor a while --i went out...

I added exec kde to the .xinitrc file and then it worked.

yes it is set to start some programs but since it hasnt been working iv been trying 'startx' and still it is not starting.

but alot of warnings
about language files not existing.

it seems quite fast and stable too. Sadly my sound did not come through..it has "integrated audio" . Fedora detects something but the mute button on the laptop...
