That was my first approach. This is the first time that solution did not work! I think Suse has a bug and that is to be expected in version 9.0 ... no revisions yet.

Yes, I did already check that proxy was not set. In addition I reloaded the base KDE components, which include Konqueror. Still no luck.

Any other suggestions??

Thanks for that idea about the plugins. Looked promising but I turned off all plugins and rebooted the computer just to be sure. I also turned off the ability to pre-load a copy of konqueror and...

I did try that and also the file associations in the control panel. But no luck in browsing. I even tried re-installing the base KDE packages.

The culprit that screwed it up I think was...
