This was the first time I have ever formatted a USB external hard drive, so I actually never thought about it. :D
It only has 1 partition anyway, and my PC is to old to allow booting from a...

Actually mine is totally fixed now, I reformatted the WD Passport drive from NTFS to FAT32 and now Linux just sees it as /dev/sdc1/.
It no longer names it "WD Passport" for some reason.

OK, thanks! I'm learning bit by bit! :D

Your right, I meant pathways, when I put in a pathway that contained /WD Passport/, Linux was stopping at WD. I had to type /WD?Passport/ to get it to work.

I was lucky in that I didn't have that problem, I ran into issues with some fodlers have blank spaces in their names, that Linux wouldn't work with from the command line.

Thanks guys, I think I will go with FAT32 for now, I don't think I have ever gone over 1 gig for a single file if that. I don't have a DVD player on my PC so that's not a problem either.

Thanks...

Ain't the...

Not sure what you mean? I did make CDRskin the default writer if that's what you mean?
I've been working on it this morning and have been able to use K3B to write an .iso file to a CD and take...

I installed Ubuntu last week, went pretty good, had a few problems that I solved by searching the net, but the last hurdle has me stumped.
I installed K3b and CDRSKIN and cannot write CDs. The...
