Short and sweet, like you do on windows, you can't. At least not with anything gui based. If its ncurses or runs from CLI then run those spesific proceses from another terminal i.e cntl+alt+f1-f9.

Heh, old thread eh? Think you should first think of auto mount before even thinking bout auto run. Don't think this will happen though, for security reasons I would guess (the auto run bit).

Sounds like your rpmdb has taken a trip downhill try this first "rpm --initdb" ohh and when installing the rpm (as it was already installed) it's actually "rpm -Uvh nameof.rpm"
