postfix inq
Hello everybody,
Trying to understand postfix configuratoin file but for some reason i keep running in to walls...
I have 2 domains whihc i like to setup a email server for..
in the main.cf file
Myhostname, what does this do...
as of now it has the following
#myhostname = host.domain.tld
# myhostname = virtual.domain.tld
does myhostname ahve any relation to the domain name
I dont seem to understand what this does....
my local host name is voyager, whihc is not a domain name its a linux host name and how does this fit in to this configuration...
I cann't very well put voyager.com whihc isn't my domain name...
can someoen explain this to me..Documentations keeps saying that i need to put int a fqdn... but how do u do this with hostname....which is voyager in my case .

FQDN
(FQDN) The full name of a system, consisting of its local hostname and its domain name, including a top-level domain (tld). For example, "venera" is a hostname and "venera.isi.edu" is an FQDN.
