Is there anyway to tell winex to open a game up in a window instead of full screen?

Edit your ~/.transgaming/config file, under [x11drv], uncomment the "Desktop" option and change it to the size you want(usually res your game is set at).

Its better to do this on an appdefault basis, so it only affects the applications you wish, plus you can configure different resolution for different programs.

At the bottom of the config file, do something like:

[AppDefaults\\nameofexecutable.exe\\x11drv]
"Desktop" = "640x480"

replacing nameofexecutable to the actual name of course..

Or your ~/.wine/config file if you aren't using Transgaming's binaries (if you're using Transgaming CVS, this is the file you want to edit).
