encryption Question
How can someone crack your own encryption files? How does Cryptography work?
-
all encryption can be broken, it's just a matter of time.
it scrambles the bits of the file into a certain order, only a certain key/password can de-scramble the bits of the file.
as far as i understand, i'm no expert in cryptograpy but i know a little bit, my laptops harddrive is fully AES 256bit encrypted apart from the boot partition.

"How does encryption work?" is stuff to fill a whole book. But Non-expert answer to question 1 is that, while not impossible to crack encryption, on modern techniques it would be time prohibitive.
