    It has to be on one of your installation cd's as '10' is part of the base system (not upgraded).

    have you tried installing the package using an rpm? or perhaps using urpmi to take care of package dependencies?

    here is where the package is located with the relative path to the hdlist

    ftp://mandrake.mirrors.pair.com/mand...andrake/RPMS2/

    ../base/hdlist2.cz

    Hi all
    Thank you for your help. I am able to install kernel header, still I am getting this error during compiling.

    So what is wrong about C++ preprocessor ?

    configure: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
    and
    checking for c++... no
    would most likely indicate that you have installed the necessary C/C++/G++ development packages. You should be able to find them on your installation CDs. Use Mandrake's graphical package manager utility (I forget the exact name of the program) to query for and install the development packages; you'll need them (as well as the kernel source/header package) in order to compile from source.

    You know Mike, I really think it's time to bring that little issue up with Brian again. I mean, even at $0.10 per response, you'd have made about $4K by now.

    That was a couple of years ago. I've had a few raises since then.

    BTW.. When I come down to visit you, just keep a lookout for the red Ferrari.
