    standard vga drivers

    Hey,
    I had to reinstall debian because the hdd that had my debian crash. Now i am just install woody3 for now before i set everything else up. The kernel version is 2.2.20. I just would like to install some standard drivers for now. I have a geforce mx 440. i have tried vga and vesa. Also tried installing xserver-svga but still doesn't work. Please help me.

    try "nv" - it is the generic nvidia that comes with X. it may not work if your card is too new though.
