    Here's the initial "mdwatts fortune-mod"

Extract the files to your fortune directory (mine is /usr/share/fortune/) and see some of your favorate Mr. Watts quotes with "fortune mdwatts"

    http://paradoxinc.net/files/fortune-mdwatts.tar.gz

I still have 1100 pages of his posts to dig through, but this is a fairly good start.

Icarus - you are the man.

Debian users - unzip the fortunes into /usr/share/games/fortunes/

Mebbe we could get them to add this onto the site.....

Excellent idea.....I also had to edit .bashrc and add the "mdwatts" line .

I am sad to hear that M D suffered with cancer and I will miss his always very helpful responses. One would never know from his answers that he wasn't on top of the world.

I hope that he bequeathed to some worthy person his signature statement which always amused me:

If Linux doesn't have the solution, you have the wrong problem.

    Code:
    [parcival@morpheus ~]$fortune mdwatts
How true. Kinda hard to troubleshoot hardware problems
without knowing what the hardware is.

    Watts

I am relatively new to the Forum and I don't check in much, but Watts has helped me out a number of times on the forum.

I wished that I'd gotten to know him better. He must have been a super-nice guy. Woe.
