compete with MS Streets and Trips

I am looking for a map program that can compete with MS Streets and Trips 2004/2005, keep in mind that I am not using GPS, mainly becuse Im poor. I am running this on a HP Pavilion N5340 Pentium 3 800Mhz 256 Ram 40 Gig HD. so far mandrake has been the only 100% compatible distro that works on this model.

all the help I can get would be great.

I know this isn't software per se but what's wrong with just using the tools at mapquest.com I guess if you don't have easy internet access it would be a problem though.

    Sorry I don't have a better suggestion.

    hey...

hmm...this seems to be something that linux doesn't really have an equiv. for [unless you want something with GPS]

    maybe this - but req's a PDA - http://sourceforge.net/projects/moncarte/

For GPS style things, you could try
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/roadmap
    http://freshmeat.net/projects/gpsbabel/

I've searched on the WINE Mailing list....MS 'streets' runs on it, but quite buggy....
