Firefox 0.9.1: More pop ups getting thru??
Has anyone else noticed that more pop-ups seem to be getting past Firefox? I have it configured to block all pop ups with no exceptions yet I seem to be seeing more and more getting through. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, there are more getting through. What I've found is if it is a Windows machine, running Spybot, etc will help sometimes. But I'm wondering if changing some java permissions on a linux browser may help as well.

i've noticed it as well.
i seem to recall having a problem with firefox and the settings i chose not being saved. once i set all popups but mlb.com to be blocked and even the popups at mlb.com, which were allowed, were blocked.
i had to start a new .mozilla folder with "fresh" settings to get my desired settings to work.

I've not had "one" pop-up that had been disallowed appear, with ver. 1.0

Me either. It sometimes is better (I do it everytime I upgrade Firefox) to remove the profile (after saving bookmarks) and letting Firefox create a new one.

Ditto. Nary a popup here with .93.
On occasions when I want to check if someone's popup blocker is working I can't even remember what sites have popups anymore
On the other hand, I have gotten some popups in Konqueror on JL.com. I wasn't aware that there were popups here, but then I usually use Firefox so I don't see them either way.

what is the file in which stored passwords are saved? I too have noticed that things work better when it creates a new profile, but it is such a bother to have to re-enter in all my passwords and usernames at all these sites.

You mean the cookies?
I always save these files:
cookie.txt <--saved cookies
cookperm.txt <--blocked cookies
bookmarks.html <--you know what this is

Well, yes, I have seen more pop-ups.
Before version 0.9.1, I had no pop-ups.
After upgrading, I have had one pop-up.
Does that count?
I have noticed that more banner ads seem to be getting through my adblock, though.

This site had become somewhat of a problem to load at times due to all the graphics and scripts. I ended up installing Ad-block finally. It was getting ridiculous.
