    Hardware Listing Utility?

    Hello,
I am wondering if there is a command line utility that lists all the hardware in a system. Particularly all the ISA cards.

I know there are Windows and Dos utilities to do it, but the problem is the old laptop has an ancient CD-ROM drive (non IDE) in its base station so it won't boot from CD and its floppy drive is dead and proprietary so I can't just put in a new floppy drive.

    Thanks!

cat /proc/isa" will show a little about the hardware. Unfortunatley, there doesn't seem to be an isa equivalent to lspci.

Will "cat /proc/isa" list all the ISA cards installed or does it just list the ones that are installed and linux has recognized?

all of them. linux will see all the cards. it may not have a module for all expansion cards but it will see every one.

I do not seem to have a /proc/isa directory. I am using Redhat 6.2. Any other suggestions where to look?

    Thanks!
