how to make smooth mixes with xmms?

I have quite a few friends who are DJ's; these people sometimes give me CD recordings of their mixes. If you listen to the CD's the tracks always transition smoothly to the next track. (my friends are good DJ's ) Now if I rip these discs to my HDD and encode them to ogg, when I listen to them with XMMS there is always a tiny pause between tracks, and the skip in the beat is noticable.
Now I could just use Audacity and record the whole discs as one big ogg and listen to them that way. I'm just curious to know if there is a way of setting up XMMS so that tracks from such a CD still flow smoothly. Any ideas??

You should use the plugin xmms-crossfade plugin. (libcrossfade.so)
