    Cache and bash.history problems

Hello. Im having here a bit of a problem.
Im using Slackware 10, And using Galeon as my default browser. I tried to clear the cache, clear the cokies, donne everthing, but in the address bar, when im typing "www.", it shows up almost evey sites that i have been. The history still remains there.
And i need to install Flash, but i down't know here to put the files, i know that in mozilla are inside the "plugins", but i can't find any Galeon plugins, those he use a shared plugins with the mozilla?

The other problem, is that i want to delete my user command history, i have deleted his .bash_history. But all the command he have typed is still there. Is there other file that stores all the commands?

    Thanks for all the help

After reading your post i discovered Galeon doesn't want to work anymore. After a little look around i discovered in /home/<username>/.galeon there is a history.xml file that may contain all of those addresses (i think), not sure if you want to edit that though, might be a bit of a pain.

    Hope that helps..

    Cheers

And, not 100% on this, but does Galeon get its history, form completions, plugins from the .mozilla directories?
And in bash, use "history -c" to clear the history.

Thanks hard candy, the "history -c" command worked fine

i have checked the .galeon directory in the home user, i saw there a history file, i deleted, and most of the web links that showed up in the address bar, disapeared.

Im trying still to install Shockwave and Flash plugins in the Galeon, but i can see any directory to put the plugins.
    Those it share with mozilla?

i have tried ./flash_install and he askes me for the path to the galeon directory, well i tryed "find / -name galeon" and "whereis galeon", he doesn't show me the path to the directory, it only shows up the binary (/usr/bin/galeon)

    What path should i put?
    Thanks

In Slackware, it should be /opt/mozilla/plugins or maybe /usr/lib/mozilla

Im downloading Netscape. Perahps it will solve all my problems.
Im not sure but i read good critics about Mozilla FireFox, its a Beta version, but its fast on loading web pages, nice interface, etc. Any tried yet?

How did you install Netscape, from source or slackware package? If from source then i think you just go into the directory where the makefile is and run..

    # make uninstall netscape

    If a Slackware package, then..

    # removepkg netscape

    Not totally 100% though.

    Cheers
