You're welcome
It's in apt-get, too, so it was no work for me to add (which is good, because I'm lazy... finding the software was as much work as I was in the mood for).

I kind of forgot about this thread.
Yeah, uptimed rocks.

Uptimed's default is top 50, I think I capped it at the top 20.
I wonder how far down that top 50 list you could go, and still outlast Windows XP?

Ooh, forgot to post back here with my new uptime from a couple of months ago. Finally got a decent one at 50 days before the power blinked (no UPS then, got one now, and I was moving out that day anyway so it didn't matter). Since not long after that I've been having trouble with hard lockups, so nothing very long at all. I'm hoping maybe it was just another flaky USB hub (I have all the luck with those), but that remains to be seen. At least I finally made it over 3 days now.

I had about 50 days give or take a day before power went down recently.
that uptimed app looks interesting.

A Slackware 8.1 machine at my previous employer has been up since I installed some RAM and a new video card...in April of 2004! I'll call my former operator Monday and get the actual uptime.
My Slack 10.1 box at my current office usually makes it 90-100 days before I get bored and change something.

Home server:
syngin@gollum:~$ w
14:03:11 up 7 days, 19:24, 2 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
Debian work server:
syngin@smaug:~$ w
13:08:20 up 77 days, 22:32, 2 users, load average: 0.29, 0.76, 0.91
Redhat work server:
syngin@nemesis:~$ w
13:08:07 up 43 days, 25 min, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?

Well, my former night operator must have rebooted it last spring sometime, but the current uptime is 348 days!!! Not bad for Slack 8.1 on a PII 450Mhz machine...
