    Looking for web-based Finance Program

Hey everyone. I have a pretty rugged gentoo server that is always on, and recently I have been thinking. It would be great if I were able to track my finances for my checking account using some sort of web-interface. I have looked at programs such as myphpmoney, and mfinance, but neither seem to be in portage.

Are there any thoughts for programs that could balance a checking account through a web interface that gentoo has ebuilds for? Thanks greatly everyone. Have a great day!

I can't think of any, but it sounds like you are on the right track.

You will have the mysql database and php-mod in portage so those will be updated when you run your updates.
I would look into the ones you have found and make sure they do what you want and manualy install them, just check for updates yourself on occasion.

kind of on subject, are you going to put the finance app behind a secure server (https)?

if i setup my own ssl without a paid-for cert from verisign, is it still secure?

i suppose i could just research sll myself, but i was curious
