    SSH and Apache Dies

    Hi all,

I've had a Mandriva 10.1 box running now for 6-8 months without a lick of trouble. A week ago the box was hard-powered-down by a newbie admin who was moving the rack ( ). It powered back up okay, albeit without any network connectivity, resulting in me having to drive in only to find out the admin didn't connect the network cable into the correct NIC ... ANYWAY....

Yesterday, out of the blue, SSH and Apache suddenly died. The box could be pinged. I drove in, and no GUI interface came up (black screen). Hard-booted the server, did a consistency check, and everything looked/functioned normally. Checked logs and saw the typical "Failed" SSH attempts, but no indication of intrusion. As of right now, the same thing has happened. I'm on my way back in, and thought I'd put out the "help" smoke signals.
