Here's my current desktop . After a couple years away from running Linux on my desktop PC, I must say it's nice to be back.

KDE sucks less than I thought!

Since the manual I'm reading covers both RHEL and Fedora, I decided to install both, (using Centos for RHEL) and for the sake of variety, I'm running KDE with Fedora, even though I generally prefer Gnome. A nice thing that I noticed about KDE with Fedora is that I can open a Konsole window by right clicking on an empty desktop and clicking on "Konsole " from the resulting menu. Never having to search for a button. icon, laucher or what have you to open a console window is one of the things I've always loved about Gnome.
Some of the other features I love about Gnome can be found by running K-Pager, which is indispensible for me cause I don't believe in being stingy with the desktops. Like the Gnome desktop, K-pager lets me drag items from desktop to desktop, lining them up just how I like.

Hmm, somehow this link doesn't work for me. I arrive at an imageshack site where it let's me upload my own picture, but I can't see yours anywhere.

I have started to mess with Enlightenment DR17. The following screenshot was taken briefly after I finished the installation process.

Also, I made a horrible video briefly showing E17 in action.

Just for people who want to know, Drayxion is a member of the ICC Fanime forums that I decided to poke fun at for the outro. He doesn't like spam.

Cool. Lain is awesome. I usually use anime themed wallpapers; I normally use a wallpaper with Hitomi from Escaflowne on it. It's just that I was taking a look at the animated backgrounds for E17 when I took that screenshot.

Here's my latest, a Fluxbox theme I hacked together quickly for Halloween (hence all the orange). It's supposed to be glassy looking, and I guess it is if you don't look to closely. Funny, it took Microsoft, what, 10+ years to do glass effects in their GUI and I did it in a few hours in Fluxbox.

    Here they are:
http://lctf.homelinux.com/stuff/HalloweenScreen.jpg - The Gimp action that resulted in this theme.
http://lctf.homelinux.com/stuff/HalloweenScreen1.jpg - The wallpaper (and movie) seems appropriate for Halloween. She looked mad in the thumbnail, although not so much fullscreen. She's hot when she's mad (did I just say that???).

Oh yeah, apologies for the slow download speeds. Only a 128k upstream connection.
