'remember me' box checked by default - got to be wrong?
When logging in to Justlinux the remember me box is checked by default, you have to uncheck it. It would be easy to overlook doing this.
Surely this can't be right, it should be unchecked for glaringly obvious security reasons.
MI6, Offensive Information, Hackers, Encryption, UFO, AOL, Infowar, Bubba, benelux, Ufologico Nazionale, domestic disruption, 15kg, DUVDEVAN, debugging, Bluebird, Ionosphere, Keyhole, NABS, Kilderkin, Artichoke, Badger, spookwords, EuroFed, SP4, Crypto AG – a few, alleged, Echelon keywords. Such as? What can a registered user access on the forum that presents a security hazard?

Errr....I meant it makes it easier for people to impersonate a user.
Bet this forum gets you tense.

Well it's up to the individual user to safeguard their accounts and PCs. We can't do that for them.
-
The user may be on a public computer (ie. library). I agree with Lugoteehalt.
-
There ya go, unchecked by default
-
Wow, that was relatively painless.
Thank you, JPnyc.
PS.
Doesn't BrianP handle this kinda stuff? Is he on vacation?

Brain is marketing that kinda got stuck with being an admin, JP is the real techie
at least, I think that's right...
-
Brian's a techie too. But since taking this job I've become very well acquainted with vbulletin's function. Close to an "expert" now I'd say. Sounds pompostic when I read it back though.
-
Code:
$ echo "pompostic" | ispell -a
@(#) International Ispell Version 3.1.20 10/10/95, patch 1
# pompostic 0
$
Yeah... I didn't think that was a real word.
Anyway, since you're such a pro, might I suggest having Administrator handle's show in Green or some other color. The bold red looks kind of evil and dominating-ish.
(Unless, of course, that is what you're shooting for.)
-
It shoulda been 'pompous.'
Also, Admins in Red and Mods in Green would be a good thing. Distinguishes them from us plebs.

Thanks from me too JPnyc; I'll not make any paranoid remark about Sepero's highter caste.
