Finding your computer ipaddress
Hi,
www.debianhelp.co.uk is a web site that automatically detects and displays your computer's IP address. This can be helpful for configuring a computer on a network, setting up communications software, or troubleshooting an Internet connection. Your Internet Service Provider or IT help desk may ask you to visit this site when you're having problems with your Internet connection

Thanks

OK - I've deleted some of your other threads because they were essentially cross-posting, and borderline spam.
Is this your own webpage? If so, then please indicate that when you post.
I'm also going to move this to /dev/random, as it's nothing to do with software.

Also:
ip addr (for iproute2)
ifconfig -a (for the older net-tools)
ipconfig /all (on windoze)
etc., etc., etc.

The aforementioned web sites ONLY work if you have a routable IP address.
The isp that I have has 2 different types of IP addresses.
Routable and non-routable. The non-routable ones are masq'd behind the isp's router.
The IP that is returned is the router's IP, and NOT the IP that my computer has when it connects to the ISP.

Nice website, but if you copy other peoples writtings, you should give them credit on the page. Otherwise no one in the Linux community will respect your site.
