    wine emulator

New to SuSE Linux 10. I was able to install WINE using yast but cannot run the program. Obviously I'm missing something. Tried to run 'wine program.exe' as well as 'wine.sol.exe' to no avail. searched for the file and found only the installation rpm file in my home directory.

Could use some ideas, remember I am new at the commands since I am coming from the windows world and dos

    Thanks

It should just be 'wine program.exe' and that 'wine.sol.exe' looks like an example of running Windows Solitare

When you run the program through wine, what is the output and also is the program installed or are you trying to install with a setup.exe?

I'm sure you're right about the solitaire.. I believe the program is installed. I invoked the wine program.exe using the run feature. Nothing

    What do you mean nothing?
Paste what happened in the terminal.

FYI: the acronym WINE == wine is not an emulator. It is a set of libraries to allow windows apps to run on linux, not an emulator.
