firefox plugin
Quick question. What can be used for firefox running on linux to serve the same purpose as Apple Quicktime does for firefox running on windows??
-
Um, I'm assuming you mean how can you play quicktime videos via Firefox on Linux? As far as I know, you can't do it directly from Firefox. You can install an extension I use called MediaPlayer Connectivity. When you install that, you can point files to the best program to run them with. Install that, and configure it to open movie files with mplayer, and that *should* work in the case of movies. If there's a better way to do things, than I'd like to know also.

Quicktime is supported in mplayerplug-in (fully embedded in web pages)
